A Movement for FATHERS Who Want More.

Our definitions of success are changing, at work and at home

It’s time for fatherhood to evolve with us. We want to be more present than our fathers were. But we’re doing it without role models, cultural support, or real conversations with other men.

We wrestle with questions like:

Am I giving my best where it matters most?

Why does presence come easier in one arena than the other?

Am I passing down the parts of me I’m still learning to heal?

We need new tools, structure, and support to thrive where it matters most.

That’s why Ambitious Dads exists, so we don’t have to choose between being present at home and ambitious in the world

When we get FATHERHOOD right, everyone wins:

  • Our kids feel safer, seen, and supported
  • Our partners thrive in their own careers
  • Our workplaces gain emotionally intelligent, purpose-driven leaders
  • And we, as men, finally live in alignment - no more splitting ourselves in two

Fatherhood isn’t a break from leadership. It’s a masterclass in it.

My Story

I’m Jeff Hittner,

executive coach, leadership expert, and founder of Ambitious Dads.

About ten years ago, I discovered I couldn’t become a biological father, something I had dreamed about my entire life. It was devastating. But that moment became the beginning of something far deeper: the disassembly of my old definition of fatherhood.

Fast forward to today, I’m the proud dad of two incredible boys who are the lights of my life. That journey taught me this: when we’re willing to let go of the stories we’ve clung to the longest, we create space to imagine something better, something truer.

I previously founded IBM’s global Corporate Social Responsibility consulting practice, and developed the curriculum for the Bard MBA in Sustainability where I was the leadership professor. Over the past two decades, I’ve coached CEOs on six continents and built leadership programs for some of the most mission-driven companies in the world.

Now, I bring that experience to Ambitious Dads programs, helping dads lead with courage, presence, and a definition of success they actually want their kids to inherit.

The Research

I’ve interviewed over 200 ambitious dads to understand the ups, downs and sideways of modern fatherhood. The result? A set of 6 core fatherhood gaps, which forms the foundation for our transformative programs. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. Check out these favorites and the rest of the blog here.

You’re Not Overreacting. You’re Remembering.
